Läkemedelsakademin Quality Policy
We Strive to Promote a High Professional Standard
Läkemedelsakademin offers professional development for roles within the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. As a daughter company of the nonprofit organisation Apotekarsocieteten, we adhere to its purpose statement: “…to promote high professional standards within the pharmaceutical field and to support the beneficial development and use of medicines for individuals and society. To this end, the association promotes knowledge and competence development within the pharmaceutical sector.”
Läkemedelsakademin is a member of Almega Utbildningsföretagen and our quality management work is approved in accordance with the criteria for quality authorisation set by the organisation. This quality policy outlines our overarching quality management efforts.
Our Core Philosophy
Läkemedelsakademin aims to be the go-to provider of continuing education and the most trusted training provider on the market:
- We focus on individuals’ needs for professional development and the current needs of the industry for skilled professionals, contributing to lifelong learning within the sector.
- Our courses provide participants with in-depth and up-to-date knowledge for their professional roles.
- We select teaching methods that create optimal conditions for participants’ learning.
- We prioritize the quality of course content, including adherence to current regulations and requirements.
- We serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking.
Through our programs, participants gain a solid knowledge base, deeper insights, practical tools, and new perspectives on their professional roles. This includes developing the ability to uphold quality in challenging and complex work situations—a concept we refer to as “professional backbone,” supporting the high professional standards outlined in our parent organisation’s purpose statement.
Quality Management
The staff at Läkemedelsakademin adheres to our Educational Ethos and Educational Toolbox, which outline our ongoing quality management work to meet participants’ needs. Our teaching methodology centers on participants’ learning.
Course development and quality assurance are led by our subject-matter experts, our Directors of Continuing Professional Development, who collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders: Apotekarsocieteten’s sections and interest groups, customers, other target audiences, and experienced industry professionals, including regulatory authorities and industry organizations. This collaborative approach ensures an understanding of the current and future needs of the industry, forming a key part of our quality management.
Responsibilities
The Head of Education at Läkemedelsakademin holds overall responsibility for quality management, while the CEO assumes overall responsibility for quality efforts across Apotekarsocieteten as a whole.
Responsibility extends to every individual within the organization and is defined in the Läkemedelsakademin internal Quality Handbook, job descriptions, and Apotekarsocieteten’s employee role description, which emphasize that every team member is a change agent responsible for continuous improvement and quality work.
Läkemedelsakademin aims to deliver “Education That Makes a Difference”—from industry experts, for industry experts. Our quality standard should be such that the customer will want to recommend us to an industry colleague.
